Over the years our club has been involved in many, many projects, both locally and internationally.

Local projects that involved fundraising for a cause have included helping with raising funds for, setting up and building the Keith Spry Pool and Johnsonville Community Centre, starting the Run for Fun race around the southern bays, helping Plunket in Johnsonville and Newlands with building maintenance, providing more effective heating for the House of Grace, and providing funding for Life Education Trust (half the proceeds of the annual Bookfair, while it was running).

Local projects that developed potential in local people, or recognised their achievements have included Pride of Workmanship Awards, sponsoring young people to attend RYPEN or RYLA events, Outward Bound, Innovative Young Minds, and science fairs.

Internationally, we have taken part in a Hurricane Relief Mission to Tonga that involved building a new community hall, provided ShelterBoxes to help those affected by natural disasters, make regular contributions through Rotary International to PolioPlus, which is now so very close to achieving its aim of eliminating polio.
