Innovative Young Minds 2023
On 24th July the club welcomed Sia Goel a student from Newlands College, who the club sponsored on the 2023 Innovative Young Minds Program.
Innovative Young Minds (IYM) is a program run throughout the Greater Wellington area by Rotary clubs that enables young women to experience what a career in technology might be like with program of events, company visits and presentations compressed over a few days. It culminates in a visit to Parliament where the attendees have an opportunity to provide feedback and insights on what they have learned.
Sia who is a student at Newland’s College explained her experience during the program to members of the club and how IYM has helped her to develop some ideas on possible future career paths.
