Help for Local Communities during Covid 19 Lockdown

The Rotary Club of Johnsonville has donated $9,000.00 to charities in May 2020.

News of the donations by the Rotary Club of Johnsonville was reported in the Independent Herald Newspaper on the 4th June 2020.

The donations were to assist members of the local community impacted by financial strain due to the Covid 19 lockdown and its economic effects.

The Charities donated to reflect the areas with the greatest needs at this time, such as the foodbanks and organisations helping families and young people cope at this time.

The donations were given to the following organisations, which operate in the local community:

  • Kiwi Community Assist (a foodbank) $4,000.00.
  • The Johnsonville Foodbank $2,000.00
  • Challenge 2000 (which helps families and young people in our area) $1,500.00.
  • Life Education Trust (which helps younger children cope) $1,500.00.
