Robots at Newlands Intermediate

Johnsonville Rotary linked up with the Institute of Engineering and technology (IET) to run a successful Robots workshop at Newlands Intermediate School in September.

The workshop is called Project X and it is a STEM activity created by the IET to enable up to 20 children to individually build and program their own robot in just 1 day.

Students do not need any experience or knowledge of electronics or software to participate as training and assistance is provided by 8 experienced engineers/helpers from Johnsonville Rotary and the IET. Starting at 9:00am most of the robots were complete and working by 2pm.

Johnsonville Rotary would like to thank the IET for their support assistance in running the workshop.
